About Me
I am an artist, jazz dancer, movement researcher, and educator devoted to the legacy of Authentic Jazz - the social dances born within African American communities.
Born and raised in Croatia with Kenyan roots, I grew up studying piano, developing a deep sensitivity to rhythm, musicality, and expression. Today, my work is an ongoing exploration of my relationship with Black arts, spirituality, and identity. I see dance not only as an art form, but as a somatic practice of becoming - a way of embodying the person I long to be while learning more deeply about who I already am.
This question continues to guide my teaching, performances, and creative work: How can I become more of myself, and share that with the world in a way that moves others to discover that within themselves?
Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching, performing, and judging in more than 20 European countries, as well as in New York, Harlem, Houston, Montreal, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, and Bangkok. I have performed at Grachtenfestival and the North Sea Jazz Festival, and I am a three-time International Lindy Hop Championships (ILHC) Jazz champion - winning once in the online edition and twice in person, most recently at ILHC Canada in Montreal.
Whether in a studio, on stage, or online, I hope to create spaces where rhythm is deeply embodied, curiosity is welcomed, and movement becomes a path toward greater freedom, artistry, and connection.
