About Me
I am an artist, Jazz dancer, movement and embodiment researcher, and educator devoted to the legacy of Authentic Jazz - the social dances born within African American communities.
Born and raised in Croatia with Kenyan roots, I grew up studying piano, developing a deep sensitivity to rhythm, musicality, and expression. Today, my work is an ongoing exploration of my relationship with Black arts, spirituality, and identity. I see dance not only as an art form, but as a somatic practice of becoming - a way of embodying rhythm, groove, possibility, and imagination while bridging the imagined and the tangible through performance, dance education, and creative practice.
This question continues to guide my teaching, performances, and creative work: How can I become more of myself, and share that with the world in a way that moves others to discover that within themselves?
